Democratic National Alliance (DNA) Parliamentarian and Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Arjuna Ranatunga yesterday announced that he had joined the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
Following the move, Ranatunga was appointed the party’s Chief Organiser in the Gampaha District, a position previously held by former Minister Basil Rajapaksa.
Addressing a media conference in Colombo, Ranatunga said that former President Chandrika Kumaratunga had invited him to become the SLFP organiser for the district.
