Chanuka Ratwatte arrested and remanded till 28 Sept.

Chanuka Ratwatte, brother of MP Lohan Ratwatte was remanded till 28 September by court after being arrested by the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) yesterday morning.

Along with Ratwatte another four were arrested by the FCID in connection with an alleged financial fraud of Rs. 4.6 billion at Entrust Securities PLC. 

Ratwatte worked as an Executive Director for that company during the time period when over Rs.3 billion was allegedly taken from the welfare fund of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) by Entrust.
