China, Sri Lanka pledge fullest defense cooperation

The military leaders of China and Sri Lanka pledged their fullest cooperation in strengthening bilateral relations Thursday when the Defence Attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka, Senior Colonel Li Chenglin called on the new Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo Thursday.

The two defence leaders held cordial discussion focused on mutual interests pledging their fullest cooperation in strengthening bilateral relations, the Navy said.

During the discussion, Senior Colonel Li conveyed his best wishes to Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne on taking over the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy.
