Bringing in the magic of the festive season, Crescat Boulevard Colombo is loaded with some fantastic deals, with an amazing ambiance and extensive line up of activities and entertainment for the entire family.

To bring out the true meaning of Christmas, Head of Boulevard Operations Romesh Jayewardena, Sector Financial controller John Keells Property Group Ravi Wijewanthe and Boulevard Operations Assistant Manager Mahlon Adaman introduced their season’s agenda yesterday at the Crescat Boulevard lobby.

To usher in the festive season, the lobby was lit up by the traditional Christmas tree and festive decorative lights on 22 November. “Every year we strive to enhance the shopping experience of our valued customers at the mall and this year we have included several lobby promotions and interactive promotions throughout the festive season,” said Head of Boulevard Operations Romesh Jayewardena.

Commencing from 2 December, Crescat brings in the true meaning of Christmas with the entertainment provided by Sonali Lindsey, Exilir, Chro Calibre and Ian, which will continue up to 23 December. The performances will be from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The Crescat extravaganza will kick off with Dilan and Naomi providing acoustic sounds in the main lobby along with Adiago from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the Christmas Eve, partnering with Real radio broadcasting live. A special magical illusion show and street magic will be on from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. followed by the Dave Free Roberts and band performing from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“The true essence of Christmas is seen through the eyes of children. Therefore there will be more activities tied up for this season, which mainly include painting of a wall with Bubble Kids, commencing from 11 December which will bring out the creativity of the little boys and girls, ” said Romesh.

The activities include competition for kids between the age of eight and 12 under the theme ‘Show us what you want Christmas to be this year,’ followed by a craft session of making Christmas cards and many more gifts and surprises.

The mall will be transformed into a fun-filled arena on 19 December, where kids can get their faces painted and enjoy games. They will also have the opportunity of meeting some of their favourite cartoon characters, while singing, dancing and taking a picture with them.

The John Keells Group, which is in the process of expanding the neighboured mall concept, opened the first KZone in Moratuwa in 2010, which was the first mall of its kind to be opened in the area. The second KZone will be opened in Ja-Ela by early January 2013, which will also be the first and large mall with sq footage of 140,000 to open in that area.

Comprising a large Keells Super outlet, retail stores, a food court, large car park, and children’s play area, its location is yet another buzzing metropolis, which will undoubtedly make it the shopping hub in Ja-Ela. This year KZone Moratuwa will bring out the warmth of the season with many activities such as the ones at Crescat Boulevard. “KZone Ja-Ela comprises of the same theme as its Moratuwa branch but on a larger scale,” said Romesh Jayawardene.

“The mall will introduce two international brands, and will consist of a combination of both local and international stalls as well. We will be focusing on local artistes more at KZone Ja-Ela, It’s all about sustainability, and the group is directing its activities towards the charity foundation of John Keells,” said Mahlon Adaman.
