Coalition against Corruption launched

Trade unions, civil society organisations, academics, media personnel, artistes and the general public came together on 31 October 2012 to pledge their commitment to the fight against corruption and launch the first ever Coalition against Corruption at the New Town Hall, Colombo.

Here, the members of the Coalition along with Rev. Sri Naga Viharadipathi Maduluwawe Sobitha take the Pledge of Allegiance to act against all forms of bribery and corruption with determination in order to create a nation that upholds integrity. Guest speakers at the event included former Auditor General S.C. Mayadunne and Dr. Lalithasiri Gunaruwan, Senior Lecturer attached to the University of Colombo.
