Commander spells out New Year prospects for civil employees

In awarding appointment letters The career journey of a total of 3,100 members of the civil staff in primary grade who have been serving the Sri Lanka Army on casual basis received a milestone fillip on Wednesday (31 December) when their appointments were made permanent as per the provisions of the Budget – 2015 proposals, presented by the President in early November last year. A brief ceremony at the Army Headquarters, headed by Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Army as the Chief Guest, inaugurated the distribution of permanent appointment letters by symbolically awarding them to a total of 150 civil staff who had served the Army for more than 180 days by October 2014 in accordance with Budget proposals.
