Correction

On Page 2 of our issue of Thursday, 19 May, we had run the above picture sans the correct caption. The caption should have read as follows:

“Dr. Shirani Bandaranayake, former Associate Professor of Law and Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, yesterday took oaths before President Mahinda Rajapaksa as Sri Lanka’s first woman Chief Justice.
