The Ceylon Workers Congress (CWC) yesterday offered unconditional support to President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the President’s office said.
CWC leader and Minister Arumugam Thondaman had met President Mahinda Rajapaksa and thanked the President for the assistance he had given the estate community.
Thondaman had said that the President had addressed road, housing and infrastructure issues faced by the estate community.
Meanwhile Senthil Thondaman, the nephew of Minister Arumugam Thondaman, was appointed a Minister in the Uva Provincial Council. (Colombo Gazette)
