Deputy Justice Minister Sujeewa gets sporty with Welikada Prison inmates

Deputy Minister of Justice Sujeewa Senasinghe visited the Welikada Prison yesterday and met with all of its inmates.

The Deputy Minister looked into their welfare and facility improvement programs. Taking part in the Sinhala and Hindu New Year celebrations organised within the prison, the Deputy Minister played for the inmate’s cricket team. MP Senasinghe is the first Minister to play cricket inside a prison with its inmates while still in power.
