Parallel to the victory celebrations the Omanthai railway station which had remained in-operational for 21 years following an LTTE attack on 23 June 1990 was formally declared open by the Transport Minister Kumar Welgama who arrived at the Omanthai railway station by Yal Devi yesterday.
