The Government has postponed the Deyata Kirula development exhibition scheduled to be held in Ampara from 4 to 10 February. Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said that the exhibition was postponed since constructions were delayed due to adverse weather in the area.

The Deyata Kirula exhibition will be held in Ampara from 23 to 29 March 23, the Minister stated. The massive development exhibition, held annually since 2006 to coincide with the Independence Day celebrations, attracts millions of visitors each year.

The Deyata Kirula exhibition is being held in rural areas with the aim of developing those areas. It showcases products and services from over 1,000 Government, private and international organisations, and displays the past development activities in the country as well as future development projects.
