President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday wished the Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe on his birthday as well as for being reappointed as the party leader. Wickremesinghe turned 62 yesterday.
Wickremasinghe was re-appointed on Wednesday as the UNP leader unanimously by the party's Working Committee according to the new party constitution. The party appointed Karu Jayasuriya and Sajith Premadasa as deputy leaders.
