Duration of Commission on missing extended by 3 Months

The term of the Presidential Commission on Missing Persons has been extended by three months, the Government Information Department said today.

The Commission had yesterday said it expected a short extension of the duration of its term in office to complete some of its unfinished work. 

The duration of the commission’s term in office ended yesterday. The power to extend the duration of the commission is in the hands of the President. (Colombo Gazette)
