‘Ranawiru’ month declared

The first Ranawiru flag was pinned on President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees yesterday by Umasha Rashmi Weerasinghe, the daughter of war hero A. Weerasinghe and female soldier Mallika Jayawardena, to mark the declaration of ‘Ranawiru’ month. Ministers, MPs, Governors of Provincial Councils, Chief Ministers of Provincial Councils, and Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga, Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Commanders of Security Forces and the Chairperson of Ranawiru Authority Padma Wettawa participated in the occasion
