‘Ease of Doing Business’ forum postponed

As the funeral of the Ven Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera is scheduled to be held on 12 November with State honours, the Ministry of Finance announced that the scheduled meeting of the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ forum will not be held on that day. The Government has also declared 12 November as a day of mourning.

The Ease of Doing Business Forum organised by the Ministry of Finance to provide on the spot solutions to the problems faced by the investors and the business enterprises was to be held at 2p.m. on 12 November at Miloda centre in Colombo.

The new date of the fifth meeting of the Ease of Doing Business Forum will be notified later. 

Finance Ministry has so far held four sessions of the Ease of Doing Business Forum 2015 where private sector could obtain instant redresses to their business matters through the public sector regulatory agencies. This multi stakeholder platform is a joint exercise, chaired by Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake with the participation of the relevant Ministers of the respective ministries and top officials of the government Regulatory Institutions.
