The Government has appointed a committee to revise the Establishments Code. In this connection the Government has called for opinions and suggestions from the public that may be incorporated in to the existing Establishment Code.
Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs W.D.J. Seneviratne said that his Ministry has appointed a committee to study the required revisions to the Establishments Code that was issued in 1985, and which governs matters relation to the conduct of public officials.
The Minister said that the revision of the Establishment Code was a long felt need and the revision will improve the efficiency of the country’s government service and will remove impediments to render an efficient service to the people.
