Felicitation scroll presented to President by students of Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya

A felicitation scroll was presented to President Maithripala Sirisena by the students from the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya in parallel to the national drug prevention program, at the President’s Official Residence, Monday (27).

The President of the school’s Amadyapa Sangamaya, Taniya Kavindi handed over this scroll to the President.

The students from the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya have organised a Walk with the aim of supporting the national program of ‘Drug Free Sri Lanka’ which is being implemented according to a concept of the President. The students further stated before the President that they expected to conduct an awareness program to apprise the students from other schools in Colombo.

The President also engaged in a cordial discussion with the students and the staff of the school and posed for a group photo with them.

Dr. Samantha Kumara Kithalawaarachchi Director General of Presidential Task force on drug prevention, staff and students of the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya including Principal Manel Herath and many others participated in the event.
