Former Crimes OIC of Narahenpita Police remanded till 5 May

The former Crimes Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera was yesterday remanded till 5 May.

He was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on Wednesday yesterday in connection to the case over the murder of former Sri Lanka National rugger player Wasim Thajudeen.

The police said that Sumith Perera was arrested for allegedly concealing evidence related to the murder.
