Four stranded Indian fishermen rescued by Navy

The Sri Lanka Navy rescued four Indian fishermen who were in distress after their fishing boat which suffered an engine failure was drifting in the Western seas of Sri Lanka.

Having towed the boat along with the fishermen to the Dikowita Fisheries Harbour, they were provided with food and necessary first-aid by the Navy.

The Navy said that steps were itaken to repair the boat and the fishermen were scheduled to be released at the International Maritime Boundary Line today. (Colombo Gazette)
