Fuel price reduction and tax removal not as promised: Wimal

Jathika Nidahas Peramuna (JNP) Leader Wimal Weerawansa said yesterday that the new Government had not exactly done what it promised in terms of reduction in fuel prices and removing taxes. “This regime promised to slash taxes on fuel during the elections but had failed to do so completely,” Weerawansa said. He also said the fuel price reduction was a result of a temporary situation in the world but the full benefit of global reduction has not been passed down to people.
