Gota not to enter politics

Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the younger brother of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, says he will not enter active politics.

He made this remark in reply to a journalist’s question after attending a religious event at a temple in Padukka Saturday.

He told the media that when he was the Defence Secretary he had done a lot to safeguard the country and during the last five years after the end of the war, Sri Lanka’s national security was not threatened.
