The 98 kilometer Colombo-Kandy highway is to be extended to cover areas of the North as well. “The Colombo-Kandy highway will be extended and would become the Northern Expressway similar to the Southern Expressway covering the South,” Dr. Jayasundera has said.He has noted that the Colombo-Kandy highway would be connected to Trincomalee and the North.
