Govt. condoles with China over Tianjin disaster

The Sri Lankan Government expressed its heartfelt condolences to the Chinese Government over the deadly explosions that occurred in a warehouse in the coastal city of Tianjin, resulting in the death and injury of hundreds of people.

“In this time of grief, the thoughts and prayers of the Sri Lankan people are with the victims and families of those affected by this disaster. The Sri Lanka Government reiterates its solidarity and support with the Government and the people of China, and hopes for a speedy recovery from this tragedy,” a message from the Foreign Ministry stated yesterday.
