Striking a further blow to the Government, Chairman of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council, Jayatissa Ranaweera, yesterday announced he would be supporting opposition candidate Maithripala Sirisena.
The UPFA Provincial Councillor said the opposition platform was against corruption and the executive presidency.
Addressing a meeting in Embilipitiya yesterday Ranaweera said he and his group would remain in the SLFP but support Sirisena.
