High level South African delegation meets Secretary Defence

A South African delegation headed by Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ebrahim Ebrahim, paid a courtesy call on Secretary Defence and Urban Development Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Wednesday at the Ministry premises. The Deputy Minister was accompanied by Roelf Meyer, Professor Ivor Jenkins, and Ahmed Seedat.

The visiting delegation had a cordial discussion with the Secretary Defence on matters of bilateral interest and mutual relevance. Matters relating to shared interest at the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting to be held in Sri Lanka later in the year were also among the topics discussed at the meeting. The Secretary Defence presented a memento to Deputy Minister Ebrahim as a mark of friendship and cooperation.
