Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are planning to build flats for displaced Jaffna Muslims.

A team of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait officers visited Jaffna and Mannar, on Tuesday with Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen to identify suitable locations.

They visited Moor Street in Jaffna and identified three places to build flats.

Jaffna Muslims own a small plot of land which is not enough to build houses under the Municipality regulations; so authorities are considering building flats for them.
