Measures taken by the Government to resettle the IDPs and to develop former conflict-affected areas within a short period of time are not second to the any developed country in the world, the Minister further said. He made these observations when he called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees yesterday.
Furthermore, the Singapore Foreign Minister visited the North and saw for himself the measures taken by the Government to develop the infrastructure facilities in these areas and the steps taken for the uplifting of living standards of the people.

The Minister assured Singapore’s continued support to Sri Lanka to train government officials and to provide technical assistance in the Commonwealth Games.
