Inaugural ‘Official mobile service 2016’ in Polonnaruwa

The Government has decided to launch a district basis mobile service with the participation of all public sector institutions that serve the people so that people’s problems and needs could be addressed in their locality itself.

Named ‘Official mobile service 2016,’ this service will be held for the first time from 1 to 23 July covering all Divisional Secretarial areas in the Polonnaruwa District. It will be held on selected days for selected divisional secretarial areas in all days of the week including the weekend.

Since many land issues were reported from the Polonnaruwa District the people will get an opportunity to get those issues settled through the institutions under the Land Ministry and the Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority.

It will be also possible to receive One Day services from government departments including the Registration of Motor Vehicles Department, the Immigration and Emigration Department and the Registration of Persons Department.

It will also enable the people of the district to find solutions to various disasters such as the human – elephant conflict by meeting officials of the Sustainable Development and Wild Life Ministry and the Department of Wild Life Conservation attached to it.

Officials of institutions such as the Vocational Training Authority, the National Apprenticeship and Industrial Training Authority, Lanka German Technical Training Institute, Vocational Technical University under the Skills Development and Vocational Training Ministry will inform the youth of Polonnaruwa district about Vocational Guidance and available Training programs.

The program conducted at Divisional Secretariat level will be held as follows:

• Medirigiriya Divisional Secretariat: 1 and 2 July at Medirigiriya Div isional Secretariat premises
• Elahera Divisional Secretariat: 7 July at Elahera Divisional Secretariat premises
• Hingurakgoda Divisional Secretariat: 8 and 9 July at Hingurakgoda Divisional Secretariat premises
• Welikanda Divisional Secretariat: 12 July at Welikanda Divisional Secretariat premises
• Dimbulagala Divisional Secretariat: 16 July at Aralaganwila Madya Maha Vidyalaya premises
• Lankapura Divisional Secretariat: 17 July at Lankapura Divisional Secretariat premises
• Tamankaduwa Divisional Secretariat: 22 and 23 July  at Tamankaduwa Divisional Secretariat premises
• The concluding ceremony of this program will be held on 30 July at the Polonnaruwa Royal 
• Central College premises under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
