Increase in festive accidents

Lankapuvath: The number of patients admitted to the Colombo National Hospital has risen by 28% comparative to last year, Senior Nurse, Pushpa Ramyani Zoysa said,

Accordingly, 403 persons with accident injuries were admitted and treated at the hospital during the past 30 hours.Over 143 patients admitted due to road accidents are now being treated at the hospital along with 52 admitted due to domestic accidents while another 12 sustained injuries caused by fireworks, hospital sources said.
