The half day seminar which will bring together both local and international knowledge experts will comprise three sessions covering areas including Sri Lanka’s potential to penetrate new labour markets with skilled labour, vulnerability of female domestic workers as well as on reintegration of returnee migrants. The launch of ‘Labour Migration Information Resource Center’, a database consisting of a wide array of research on migration and development conducted by the IPS over the years, will also take place at the conference. Apart from that, ‘Select Annotated Bibliography on Labour Migration in Sri Lanka’, an IPS publication comprising information related to research publications on international migration will also be launched during the conference.
