Islamic content now online in new portal

Sri Lanka’s premier internet source for presenting Islamic content is now online at www.slhub.com.

slhub.com features the weekly Jumuah schedule, up-to-date Islamic event listings plus audio and video live streaming of selected local and overseas lectures.

Visitors to the site are also able to access a publication repository for Islamic and informative articles, listen to and download previous sermons as well. The site also showcases key local events, job postings, halal directory updates, obituary notices and the Islamic Hijri calendar. Launched during 2011, www.slhub.com. aims at establishing an interactive portal for Sri Lankan Muslims globally who will now have access to community information and updates on Islamic events at one web location.

With program content being updated daily, the site has proven to be the island’s foremost Islamic information resource recording over 1000 visits daily.

During the month of Ramadhan 2012, special lectures conducted over the SLBC radio service and various Masjids are made available within a day for download. Lectures conducted by Sri Lankan religious scholars on their foreign tours during Ramadhan are uploaded.
