J.R’s son passes away

Ravi Vimal Jayewardene, the son of former President J.R. Jayewardene, passed away yesterday at the age of 80.

Ravi Jayewardene was the founder of the elite Special Task Force during his father’s regime and also served as Presidential Security Adviser during the time. He also worked as a Pilot in what was then Air Ceylon.
