The Japan-Sri Lanka Friendship Foundation donated an ambulance worth Rs. 35 million to Sri Lanka at the President’s official residence yesterday.
Representing the Japan-Sri Lanka Friendship Foundation, Toji Eiichi handed over the ambulance symbolically to the President and subsequently the President handed it over to the Sri Lanka Police Department.
The Maha Sangha, MP Buddika Pathirana, IGP Pujith Jayasundara, Japan-Sri Lanka Friendship Foundation Chairman Lal Thilakarathne and several others participated in the event.
