Firebrand JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake was hospitalised following an accident in the Ratnapura District yesterday.
Dissanayake was admitted to the Ratnapura Hospital after his vehicle reportedly collided with a truck transporting sand on the Ratnapura Horana Road late last morning.
The accident occurred at Kiriella, Police reports said.
The popular JVP Leader had sustained minor injuries and was transferred to the Colombo National Hospital later in the day.
