JVP protest today in Nugegoda

The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) will hold a protest march and a rally against the current administration today in Nugegoda, as the Government celebrates the first anniversary of its victory.

JVP Propaganda Secretary Vijitha Herath said the protest march would start from Kohuwala junction at 3 p.m. and reach the Ananda Samarakoon Memorial Open Theatre Nugegoda, where a rally would be conducted led by JVP leaders. 

Herath said the JVP would urge the Government to follow its manifesto without engaging in hooliganism like the past regime.
