Laksala boosts sales through better product knowledge

A series of workshops commenced for the sales staff of the Sri Lanka Handicrafts Board – Laksala to further improve their product knowledge in order to serve customers more professionally. 

The workshops were held in the backdrop of the increased tourist arrivals expected with the onset of the tourist season and the popularity of Laksala as the source for quality arts and crafts handcrafted in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Handicrafts Board – Laksala Chairman Abeeth Dangalle initiated this training program to ensure the staff would be knowledgeable in serving the exclusive clientele visiting the 14 Laksala showrooms situated islandwide. 

Product knowledge on arts and crafts, gems and jewellery, batik, handloom and tea were among the topics on which the industry experts shared their knowledge.
