Colombo: Laugfs Gas Company has requested the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) for a price hike in domestic LP gas cylinders.

The company has requested permission to increase the price of a domestic gas cylinder by Rs. 570.

The other LP gas supplier in the country, state-owned Litro Gas has not sought a price hike yet.

The prices of LP Gas and fuel were increased by the Government in April this year.

The CAA however is yet to decide on the request. Sri Lanka reviews and revises the LP gas prices every two months.
