The Marga Institute together with Gamini Corea Foundation has organised a lecture by Dr. Godfrey Gunatilleke on prerequisites for very high human development on 6 May at BMICH Committee Room D at 3:30 p.m. The lecture would be followed by a discussion by Dr. Indrajith Coomaraswamy, Dr. Saman Kelagama and Dr. Nishan de Mel.
Sri Lanka is at present at the midpoint of high human development. The paper discusses what we require to get to very high human development as defined by the UNDP Human Development Report 2013.
