“Let’s continue the good work” Defence Secy. tells Ministry staff

“We should continue with the good work assisting the country’s development drive,” said Secretary of Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Addressing staff members of the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development yesterday morning, the Secretary Defence emphasised that all should, irrespective of work responsibilities, focus on “productivity based output.”

The event was organised coinciding with the traditional taking of oath by Government servants at the beginning of the New Year.

He further requested all staff members to continue the good work with renewed vigour and to be an exemplary institute and work hard to achieve the new goals and objectives of the institution as proven before. MOD Seva Vanitha Unit Chairperson Ioma Rajapaksa, Additional Secretary Defence S. Hettiarachchi, Military Liaison Officer General (Retired) Palitha Fernando, Director General of the Media Centre for National Security Lauxman Hulugalle, Chief of National Intelligence Maj. Gen (Retired) H.K.G Hendavitharana, Department Heads of Affiliated Institutions and senior officials of the Ministry of Defence were also present at the occasion.
