Lion International President visits Sri Lanka

Lion International President Barry J. Palmer was in Sri Lanka recently and was full of praise to the Lions of Sri Lanka for working hard towards the wellbeing of the poor. He praised the smiling people of the beautiful island Sri Lanka. All districts were able to collect about Rs. 15 million at the function for various projects throughout the country. Here President Lions Club West Lion Alhaj S.B.C. Thassim JP is seen handing over a cheque for Rs. 100,000 to Lion International President Barry J. Palmer, for a school project in Sri Lanka. Colombo Lions Region 1 donated wheel chairs, hospital utensils, school books, shoes etc. to deserving people. Region 1 collected about Rs. 6 million for school libraries and renovation of schools etc.
