LLRC fresh sessions start today

A fresh round of public sessions of the  Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission is scheduled to be held in Ampara, Kalmunai and visits to villages in Okkampitiya and Buttala in Moneragala district starting today. These visits were scheduled earlier and had to be postponed due to floods.

March 25 9.45am to 1.00pm-  Ampara Public Sessions  -  Venue: Conference Hall ,  District Secretariat, Ampara (Kachcheri)

March 26 9.30am to 1.30pm -Visit and talk to residents in  two villages subjected to LTTE terrorist attacks in Okkampitiya and Buttala areas in Moneragala District

March 27 9.00am to 12.30pm- Kalmunai Public Sessions- Venue: Conference room,  Divisional Secretariat, Kalmunai

Any organisation or person can come foreward to give evidence/make representations at Ampara and Kalmunai  Arrangements have been made for any person to either give oral evidence , make written submissions or both.
