Magistrate orders BBS to vacate Galle facility

Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagodaththe Gnanasara and other monks attached to the Bodu Bala Sena organisation were ordered to vacate its Methsevana premises in Vanchawala, Galle with immediate effect by the Galle Additional Magistrate yesterday.

Galle Additional Magistrate Gunendra Munasinghe issued the order after examining a petition by Batagoda Gamage Asanka Amarasiri who is the owner of the property.

Gnanasara Thero, Embilipitiya Vijitha Thero, Vitharandeniye Nanda Thero and the NGO Little Smile Association were cited as respondents in the petition.

Methsevana housed the BBS Buddhist Leadership Academy that was inaugurated by Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa in March.
