Mano Ganeshan attacked

Democratic People’s Front Leader Mano Ganeshan was attacked in the Badulla area yesterday while he was taking part in a demonstration.

Ganeshan said that some goons threw stones towards him while he was supporting a demonstration staged by estate workers.

He accused the Ceylon Workers Congress of instigating the attack on him and demanded an immediate police investigation.

Ganeshan said that he suffered injuries to his arm from the attack and sought treatment in hospital. (Colombo Gazette)
