The public is gearing up to flock to Colombo today to participate and mark Sri Lanka Solidarity Day, a move to display protest against a motion designed by some Western countries at the United Nations Human Rights sessions which allege war crimes.
It is reported that over a million or more people are ready to be in Colombo to join the patriotic protest against nations which are antagonistic towards Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lankan Government crushed a 30-year LTTE terrorist war in May 2009 to restore peace and pave the way for development. Since then, investment has been flowing in speedily and development in the once war-torn north and east has moved at rapid levels.
The Sri Lankan people allege that the Western nations have failed to act on LTTE brutal criminality for 30 years but are trying to tarnish the image of the country after the war has been ended and peace restored.
