Milinda holds interfaith dialogue with religious leaders

Senior Advisor to the President Milinda Moragoda recently held an interfaith dialogue with religious leaders and laypersons from different faiths to discuss ways to foster understanding among the different communities in Sri Lanka. The meeting took place at his office at the Sambuddathwa Jayanthi Mandiraya. Participants included: Ven. Iththapane Dhammalankara Anunayake Thero, Ven.



Madulawe Sobitha Thero, Ven. Brahmanawatte Seewali Thero, Ven. Nagoda Amarawansa, the Most Rev. Dr. Oswald Gomis, Rt. Rev. Duleep Chickera, Fr. Ivan Fernando, W.P. Ebenezer Joseph, Gen. Secretary of the National Christian Council, Alhaj A. Siddeek and Alhaj Fazil of the Jamiat ul Ulama, Farook, President’s Counsel Faiz Mustapha, Deputy Minister Faizer Mustapha, K. Neelakantan President All Ceylon Hindu Congress, M. Thavayogarajah and R.A.D. Sirisena, Director of the  office of Senior Advisor to the President Milinda Moragoda.  Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy, Rajan Asirwatham and Andrew Samarathunge also took part. The participants agreed to hold further discussions to develop a concrete agenda.
