Modernisation of Gampaha Maternity and Child Health Clinics

On the guidance of the Minister of Economic Development, Basil Rajapaksa, it is planned to modernise all maternity and child health clinics in the Gampaha District.

The decision to develop maternity and child health clinics in the Gampaha District was arrived at after a careful study and the aim is to enhance maternal and child health services so that the people who come to these clinics are provided with a better service. The programme includes renovation of buildings of maternity and child health clinics and providing health instruments and sanitary facilities.

Accordingly the modernised Mawaramandiya Maternity and Child Health Clinic was declared open by the Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa on Sunday (4).

Dulip Wijesekara, Deputy Minister of Disaster Management also participated at this occasion. (news.lk)
