MR, Keheliya and two ex-navy commanders grilled by PRECIFAC

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was summoned by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) yesterday to give a statement regarding an alleged non-payment of Rs.115 million owed to the Independent Television Network (ITN). 

Former Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella also appeared before the PRECIFAC regarding the same allegation.

Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksawas was summoned by the commission, but he did not appear before the PRECIFAC yesterday.

Meanwhile, another two ex-navy Commanders including former NavyCommander Admiral Somathilaka Dissanayake were questioned by the Commission with regard to the inquiry into allegations of fraud and corruption around the state-owned Rakna Lanka and the Avant Garde floating vessel.
