MP Namal Rajapaksa and Deputy Investment Promotion Minister Faiszer Musthapha this week toured Aluthgama in the aftermath of the recent clashes.
They announced to affected families that a program will be launched for the reconstruction of damaged houses at the disaster sites in Aluthgama and Beruwala.
The duo paid a visit to Pathirajagoda Sri Vevekaramaya in Aluthgama and discussed with Ven.Badalkumbure Ariyashantha Thero as how to preserve peace and harmony among the people. Furthermore they visited two Jummah Masjids and met with the people who suffered in the clashes.
Urban Development Authority Director Gen. Harshan de Silva and local officials also participated.
