National Chamber to hold session with Bangladesh High Commissioner

High Commissioner of Bangladesh Tarik Ahsan will be the Special Guest Speaker at a session on ‘Bilateral Trade between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh’ on Tuesday 16 June from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Chamber Auditorium, No. 450, D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo.

The High Commissioner will be accompanied by Counsellor Borhan Uddin. Presentation will be on export/import opportunities, current business trend, trade potential, investment opportunities and other services available in Bangladesh. 

Bangladesh is among the top 25 export destinations of Sri Lanka, two-way trade between the two countries increased by 67% to $139 million in 2013 from 2012. Both Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi economies are expected to expand in 2015.
