NCE congratulates President and Commissioner of Elections

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) which is the only chamber which exclusively serves Sri Lankan exporters in a statement yesterday expressed its congratulations and warm appreciation to the President, the Commissioner of Elections and his staff and other responsible State officials for the conduct of a peaceful and highly successful general election, which augurs well for the future of the country. 

The NCE is the only private sector chamber which exclusively provides services to Sri Lankan exporters, who make a vital contribution to the economy of Sri Lanka earning valuable foreign exchange. The Chamber has a membership of over 500 export companies, including some of the biggest export houses in Sri Lanka, as well as a number of SME exporters. They are responsible for over half of the foreign exchange earnings of the country. The chamber fully endorses the core policies of the Government outlined in the manifesto, particularly the determination to establish good governance, the rule of law, and discipline in all areas of the economy, as well as the support that is proposed to be extended to local enterprises on a level playing field.
